NAIDOC WEEK 2018: 8 – 15 JULY

As part of its commitment to cultural diversity, Transdev is recognising NAIDOC Week.

NAIDOC Week this year celebrates the invaluable contributions that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have made – and continue to make – to the community, to families, and to our nation.

Transdev's commitment to cultural diversity

Supporting NAIDOC week allows us to educate ourselves and our community and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; in particular their history, achievements and culture.

"Transdev aspires to be an organisation where inclusion and diversity is simply part of who we are, the way we work, and how we do business. To truly partner with our community we must reflect our community, and embracing diversity and inclusion allows us to do so," says Transdev Melbourne Diversity and Inclusion lead Melanie Browne.

About NAIDOC Week

NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life.

The 2018 theme of “Because of her, we can!” has been chosen to recognise the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women who have played – and continue to play - active and significant roles at the community, local, state and national levels.
