As you will be aware, this morning Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has announced a plan to bring forward school holidays.
To ensure those parents who need to send their children to school are able to do so, Transdev will continue to operate regular, timetabled school services this week.
The safety of your students and the safety of our people always comes first for us. For those students continuing to use school services, we are seeking your support to encouraging them to top-up before they travel.
Our drivers may refrain from topping-up myki’s onboard in the interests of safety. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and hope you will understand that this measure has been put in place for the protection of your students and our drivers.
Find out more information about the various ways that your students can buy and top-up myki.
Some of the immediate actions we have undertaken to help protect your school community:
- Installed passenger information in buses about key behaviours to prevent the spread of Coronavirus
- Installed exclusions zones in the front section of our buses to help maintain a safe distance between passengers and drivers
- Increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitisation of all our buses, including “high touch areas” such as handrails and posts, grab straps, seat top handles, window ledges and bell presses
- Frontline teams have been provided with additional support such as extra availability of sanitisers and customer contact protocols
More information on Coronavirus and how your students can practice good hygiene on the public transport network is available at the DHHS website.
